Bobbing Balloons!

When electricity forms on the
surface of an object or material
It is called static electricity.

In static electricity we use the
word positive charge and
negative charge for the build-up
of electricity on the surface.

Positive charges attract negative
charges. After rubbing a balloon
against a jumper it will appear
to stick.This is static electricity.
It also works with the hairs on your
arm or your head. The hairs are
attracted to the charge on the balloon
so they reach out towards it.
